In the fall of 2008 lone goose press started the Cambium* Broadside Series which honors the work of young writers. This series acknowledges the fresh insights of growing minds, and is dedicated to encouraging the writer's art among a new generation.

*Cambium: a layer of formative cells, between the bark and hardwood, that each year produces additional wood and bark cells. This layer holds the potential for the future growth of the tree.

In the fall of each year lone goose press will introduce a new publication in the series. While there is no compromise in attention to design and execution, the price is intentionally kept low so that folks will be encouraged to collect and support the work of these young, unknown writers. When there are public readings of press broadsides the young writer is encouraged to participate.
